Molybdenum Oil

Spectrum Sciences Molybdenum Oil is a topical serum supplying the critical nutrient, molybdenum. This element is needed to produce an essential cofactor called molybdenum-cofactor, also known as MOCO.   MOCO is involved in sulfur metabolism and activation of vitamin B2 to one of its most prevalent forms in the body, flavin adenine dinucleotide.

Our microemulsion delivery system provides molybdenum in a form called molybdate by a transdermal carrier. Readily penetrating through the deepest layers of the skin, molybdate is delivered directly into the blood stream. Vitamin B2 plays many important roles in cellular energy policy, primarily in the form that is produced involving a MOCO-dependent enzyme.  Vitamin B2 is also involved in cycling of methylfolate, thus contributing to the methylation cycle.

In the B12 Protocol, addition of molybdenum is part of the second step involved in the activation of Vitamin B12. The body needs an adequate supply of molybdenum on a daily basis to activate Vitamin B2.
