When Oral Delivery is Superior

Given all the benefits of transdermal delivery, is there ever a situation where oral supplements have the edge?

The answer is YES.

The type of nutrient that benefits most from transdermal delivery has all of the following properties:

  • Favorable molecular size and chemical structure
  • Required in microgram doses
  • Poor oral bioavailability
