Ingredient Information
Sorbitan laurate Sorbitan laurate is made from coconut oil and dehydrated sorbitol (which is found in fruit).  When absorbed through the skin, some of the substance is excreted unmetabolized through the normal routes of elimination, while the remainder is metabolized by esterases that break the molecule into sorbitan and free fatty acids.  Both sorbitan and fatty acids can be used as an energy source or excreted through the normal routes of elimination. 
Ethanol 100% undenatured ethanol is distilled from fermented cereal grains.  Ethanol is absorbed through the skin and metabolized similarly to ingested ethanol, though an increased proportion of transdermally absorbed ethanol is excreted unmetabolized through perspiration, urine, and breath.  It is important to note that the amount of ethanol applied through recommended doses of this product line are significantly less than what is produced naturally in the human microbiome from fermentation of food.  It is our belief based on the available information that the amount of ethanol absorbed from application of our products does not significantly contribute to the workload of the liver and is certainly not enough to cause anywhere near intoxicating effects.  The beneficial effects on liver function from the B12 Protocol likely far exceed any burden placed on the liver from any of the formulation ingredients. 
Propylene glycol caprylate Propylene glycol caprylate is an ester of propylene glycol and caprylic acid (sourced from coconut and/or palm oil).   Transdermally absorbed propylene glycol caprylate bypasses first-pass metabolism in the liver and is therefore likely to be excreted unmetabolized.  Any portion that reaches the liver is metabolized by esterases that break it down into propylene glycol and caprylic acid.  A significant portion of propylene glycol is excreted unmetabolized, while the remainder is converted into lactate, acetate, and pyruvate which are used as energy sources.  Caprylic acid is used as an energy source as well.

Alpha-tocopherol

 To extend shelf life, we utilize the all-natural antioxidant properties of vitamin E.  The amount contained in our topical products does not significantly contribute to the recommended daily quota.
